The anaerobic chamber allows for experimentation under artificial atmospheric conditions which has a variety of uses in the RARE center
Gassing station
The gassing station allows us to prepare smaller volumes of various solutions under anoxic/artificial atmospheric conditions from larger bulk solutions.
Plate Reader
The microplate spectrophotometer allows for a sensitive and rapid analysis of a variety of analytes spanning a wide range of concentrations. This instrument is used to determine optical density (OD) of multiple samples at a specific wavelength and it’s sensitivity makes it useful in the RARE center for a wide variety of applications related to the early earth.
