Professor Hendler works with RARE through RPI's Multidisciplinary Science Program. He is the Tetherless World Chair of Computing, Web and Cognitive Sciences at RPI . One of the originators of the “Semantic Web,” with over 500 publications, Hendler is a fellow of the AAAI, AAAS, ACM, BCS, IEEE, and the US National Academy of Public Administration. In 2025, he received the prestigious AAAI “Feigenbaum Award” recognizing sustained seminal contributions to the field of experimental AI.
