Prebiotic, Apparatus, Engineering, Extraterrestrial
My name is Alexander Ryan. I am an undergraduate researcher here at the RARE Center, where I am working on designing, constructing, testing, and certifying SPLASHO - the Simulated Primordial Liquid Atmospheric Surface Hydrochemistry Oceanographer - a modular environmental chamber designed to mimic the surface environments of the prebiotic Earth and select extraterrestrial bodies with a high degree of accuracy and control. Outside of my research at the RARE Center, I am commissioning as a 2nd Lieutenant in the United States Air Force this summer and have earned a slot as back seat operator. I am due to enter flight school sometime in Fall 2024.
