My name is Alexander Ryan. I was an undergraduate researcher here at the RARE Center, where I worked on designing, constructing, testing, and certifying SPLASHO - the Simulated Primordial Liquid Atmospheric Surface Hydrochemistry Oceanographer - a modular environmental chamber designed to mimic the surface environments of the prebiotic Earth and select extraterrestrial bodies with a high degree of accuracy and control. Outside of my research at the RARE Center, I commissioned as a 2nd Lieutenant in the United States Air Force in summer 2024 and earned a slot as back seat operator. I completed my education at RPI and entered flight school sometime in Fall 2024.
