Transforming microbes articulate Gertrude Stein language riddles.
Multi-generational microscopic communities documented with novel high-resolution photography are combined with ambisonics and Wave Field spatialization of Gertrude Stein’s Composition as Explanation (1926) to produce an ever-evolving state and psychedelic status of all the same matter, differently.
Created by Jenifer Wightman in collaboration with composer Kamala Sankaram, dramaturg Jessi Pipert, photographer Mark Shelby Perry, and film-maker Araby Kelley. Supported in part by RPI Electronic Arts Department, HASS & SRCA Grants, Stanford Art Institute, and EMPAC team. Thanks all!
